Description
What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release. It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

Statement
Reference
When neutral marked clones are induced in the ovary, the proportion of germaria carrying marked somatic stem cells 3 weeks after clone induction is around 40% of that seen one week after clone induction. However, for tkv[Q199D.Scer\UAS] Scer\GAL4[Act5C.PI] clones induced using this method, this increases to 65.6%. Also, while the number of germaria containing tkv[Q199D.Scer\UAS] Scer\GAL4[Act5C.PI] clones in somatic stem cells decreases over time after induction, the number of germaria carrying only marked somatic stem cells actually increases over time after induction from 0.59% after one week to 8.9% after 3 weeks.
When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4hs.PB in the somatic cells of the germarium, no germline tumor phenotype is observed. Egg chamber budding was affected, indicating a later effect on somatic cell function.
