hide Detailed Description
Statement
Reference
Flies expressing tkvScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4vg.PM have essentially wild-type wings.
Larvae expressing tkvScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4A9 have small wing discs. Adult wings show loss of wing vein L4. Flies expressing tkvScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E show truncation of the distal part of wing vein L4 and lack most of vein L5.

Statement
Reference
Coexpression of tkvScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 and gbbScer\UAS.cKa enhances the Scer\GAL4A9>gbbScer\UAS.cKa wing vein phenotype so that a higher percentage of wings have extensive amounts of wing vein tissue.
The modest wing overgrowth phenotype caused by expression of putScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4vg.PM is enhanced by co-expression of tkvScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1.

Comments
Expression of tkvScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu in the neurons rescues neuromuscular junction size in tkv1/tkv8 mutants.
