Expression of tweEP613 under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 results in potential shaft-to-socket transformations. Rarely, sensory organs with 4 sockets and no shaft are seen. Additional scutellar and dorsocentral macrochaetae are seen. Sensory organs with two sockets and two shafts, one socket and two shafts, no socket and one shaft and short and thickened shaft morphology are seen.

Male sterile but female fertile when transheterozygous with twe1.
