Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

The size of large lipid droplets in the fat body of Trf2G0071 homozygous mutant larvae (second, early third as well as wandering third instar larval stage) is significantly increased compared to controls.

Mutants show defects in destruction of the larval salivary glands, having persistant larval salivary glands at the pupal stage.

Homozygous Trf2G0071 are lethal, with majority of lethality occurring during the first instar larval stage. Those surviving to early pupae show defects in head eversion. No embryonic lethality is observed.

Statement
Reference

The increased size of fat body lipid droplets characteristic for Trf2G0071 mutant wandering third instar larvae is not significantly altered by expression of CG9527Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG or CG4586Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG or Taf12LScer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG but is significantly rescued by expression of any of the following: CG2617Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG, AANATL2Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG, CG9507Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG or eIF2BδScer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4ppl.PP.

Comments

The increased size of fat body lipid droplets characteristic for Trf2G0071 mutant wandering third instar larvae can be rescued by expression of either Trf2Scer\UAS.s or Trf2Scer\UAS.l under the control of Scer\GAL4ppl.PP in the mutant background (which on its own leads to reduced lipid droplet size).
