Larval fat body clones expressing Pka-C1UAS.Tag:FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU do not show significant changes in autophagosome induction in response to starvation.

Overexpressing Pka-C1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG using Scer\GAL4c747 disrupts 1hr memory in young flies.

Expression of Pka-C1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG using a mushroom body driver (Scer\GAL4c309) abolishes 24-h memory after massed training in both wild-type and a Pka-C1B3/+ heterozygous background.

Expression of Pka-C1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG driven by Scer\GAL4Tab2-201Y has does not effect anesthesia-resistant memory nor long-term memory in a wild-type background.

Overexpression of Scer\GAL4c819 driven by Scer\GAL4c819 does not boost memory.

Expression of insertion P{UAS-Pka-C1.FLAG}5.5 in Scer\GAL4RK5 background allows partial survival; 10 with a sibling class of 81. Expression of insertion P{UAS-Pka-C1.FLAG}5.9 in Scer\GAL4RK5 background allows complete survival; 52 with a sibling class of 48. Those that survive to adulthood show a range of phenotypes, including small size, warped or collapsed wings, flecks on the surface of the eye, bristles glued to the thorax. Some show a combination of these defects, others were normal. Both P{UAS-Pka-C1.FLAG}5.5 and 5.9 show complete lethality in backgrounds Scer\GAL4JW1, Scer\GAL4PP3, Scer\GAL4KO5. Insertions P{UAS-Pka-C1.FLAG}1.1, 1.3, 5.2 show complete lethality in all of the backgrounds Scer\GAL4JW1, Scer\GAL4PP3, Scer\GAL4KO5, and Scer\GAL4RK5. Expression of insertion P{UAS-Pka-C1.FLAG}5.9 in Scer\GAL4RZ4 background produces adults 51% of which have notched wing margins.

Pka-C1UAS.Tag:FLAG, Scer\GAL4e22c is a suppressor | partially of denticle belt & thoracic segment phenotype of Pka-R1BDK.UAS, Scer\GAL4e22c

Pka-C1UAS.Tag:FLAG, Scer\GAL4e22c is a suppressor of denticle belt & abdominal segment phenotype of Pka-R1BDK.UAS, Scer\GAL4e22c

PCBEP2547/+ suppresses 1hr memory impairment caused by overexpressing Pka-C1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG using Scer\GAL4c747.

Coexpression of Pka-R1BDK.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 and Pka-C1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG, both under the control of Scer\GAL4Tab2-201Y, suppresses the reduced ethanol sensitivity phenotype of Pka-R1BDK.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1.

The P-Repressor encoded by P{P-Sal}89D has been used to suppress the lethality caused by expression of Pka-C1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL471B. This allows mosaic analysis of the phenotype caused by expression of Pka-C1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL471B; almost half the mosaic flies have ectopic wing veins located between veins L3 and L4 in otherwise normal wings.

Coexpression of P{UAS-Pka-R1.BDK} and P{UAS-Pka-C1.FLAG} in a Scer\GAL4e22c background rescues the abdominal denticle belt phenotype of P{UAS-Pka-R1.BDK}, and partially restores thoracic denticle belts.

Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Co-expression of Pka-C1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG significantly rescues the short term memory defects of flies expressing Hsap\APP695.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4c739.

Co-expression of Pka-C1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG strongly enhances the rough eye phenotype caused by expression of Hsap\MAPTV337M.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu.

The lethality caused by Ocun\PKIScer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG or Pka-C1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4RK5 is suppressed if they are coexpressed under the control of Scer\GAL4RK5.

Expression of Ocun\PKIScer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG suppresses the wing phenotype caused by expression of Pka-C1Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4RZ4.
