    Detailed Description
    Statement
    Reference

The wing discs of mei-41unspecified mutant third instar larvae exhibit similar levels of apoptosis to controls in response to X-ray induced irradiation. As in controls, very little apoptosis is seen in the absence of irradiation.

Mutants can be recombination defective. Mutants can show sensitivity to methyl methanesulfonate, nitrogen mustard, UV light, γ rays or X rays. Mutants are not defective in repair of single strand breaks or excision repair, but can be defective in post-replication repair.

    Genetic Interactions
    Statement
    Reference

mei-41unspecified; wtsx1/+ flies show a higher tumor incidence than controls, with a 2-fold increase at baseline and >10-fold increase after treatment with ionizing radiation.

mei-41unspecified tefuunspecified double mutant third instar larvae usually have melanotic tumours.

The eggshell defects seen in eggs derived from homozygous spn-D1 or spn-D1/spn-D2 females are suppressed if the females also carry mei-41unspecified.

The ovary phenotype of CSN5unspecified mutants is not suppressed by mei-41unspecified.
