Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Hemizygous third instar larvae have gaps in the laminar plexus. Abnormally thick axons bundles that project into the medulla and have abnormal wandering projections are seen. The growth cones in the medulla are enlarged and often overlap with each other.

60% of embryos from MoeEP1652/MoeG0415 mothers lack germ cells. In MoeEP1652/MoeG0415 oocytes, the actin cytoskeleton is detached from the cortex. Only 1% of embryos from MoeG0415/MoeGT193, mothers lack germ cells.

Expression of MoeK.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU rescues the R2-R5 axon targeting defects seen in MoeG0415 hemizygotes in 55% of cases.
