Detailed Description

nejG0350/+ adults expressing Hsap\HOXA9::Hsap\NUP98WT.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH show ectopic wing-like structures in the dorsal-anterior part of the eye.

Mutants show defects in destruction of the larval salivary glands, having persistant larval salivary glands at the pupal stage.

Mutants show developmental arrest soon after the prepupal-pupal transition. 70% of mutant pupae have persistent larval salivary glands. These glands do not show any morphological signs of tissue breakdown, showing tight cellular association at 13.5 and 16 hours after puparium formation.
