Expression of maheScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 moderately enhances the wing margin serration seen when mamN.Scer\UAS is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4bbg-C96. A completely penetrant wing notching phenotype is also seen.
The rough eye phenotype produced by mamN.Scer\UAS when driven by Scer\GAL4GMR.PF or Scer\GAL4hs.2sev is mildly enhanced by Dlunspecified. The addition of Nnd-1/Y, Df(1)N-54l9, DlBX9, SerBd-3, Serrev6-1, dx1 sggScer\UAS.cSa or Su(H)16 produces enhanced wing margin effects in flies expressing mamN.Scer\UAS driven by Scer\GAL4C96. The wing nicking phenotype is unaffected by the addition of Su(H)8, panScer\UAS.cWa or armS2.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC. The wing nicking phenotype is suppressed by the addition of H1 and armS10.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC. The addition of wgl-17 or arm1 to mamN.Scer\UAS, Scer\GAL4C96 flies also enhances the wing phenotype in a partially penetrant manner, exhibiting loss of additional wing blade material along the posterior margin and bristle loss along the anterior margin. A small percentage of more severe strap wings is also observed in the case of wgl-17. The wing nicking phenotype is unaffected by the addition of dsh3, sggM11 or pan13a. The addition of fz2ECD.GPI.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC also enhances the phenotype, producing a wide range of phenotypes, including severe loss of blade material. ct53d also enhances the wing nicking phenotype. The phenotype caused when mamN.Scer\UAS is driven by Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 can be enhanced by the addition of mam10, Df(1)N-54l9 or DlBX9. The addition of DlScer\UAS.cJa dshScer\UAS.cAa or Nint.G.Scer\UAS to mamN.Scer\UAS, Scer\GAL4C96 flies, strongly suppresses its wing nicking phenotype. SerScer\UAS.cGa weakly suppresses the phenotype. HScer\UAS.cGa enhances the phenotype and dxScer\UAS.cMa and Su(H)Scer\UAS.cGa have no effect. Does not suppress the wing bristle phenotype see in Nint.G.Scer\UAS, Scer\GAL4C96 flies. Mildly suppresses the wing bristle phenotype see in flies carrying Su(H)Scer\UAS.cGa or SerScer\UAS.cGa driven by Scer\GAL4C96.
The loss of asymmetric division in GMC-1 of the RP2/sib lineage seen in mam44 embryos is rescued by expression of mamN.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PH between 6 and 8 hours of development. The loss of asymmetric division in GMC-1 of the RP2/sib lineage and the neurogenic phenotype seen in mam9 embryos is not rescued by expression of mamN.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PH between 6 and 8 hours of development.
