Expression of mamN.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU results in a significant decrease in size of the third instar wing disc posterior compartment, as compared to controls.

Expression of mamN.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4bbg-C96 results in severe serration of the wing margin.

Embryos expressing mamN.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 have an increased number of "Ap" neurons in the NB5-6T lineage.

Males expressing mamN.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Abd-B-LDN show normal genitalia rotation.

Follicle stem cells clones expressing mamN.Scer\UAS under the control of both Scer\GAL4Act and Scer\GAL4tub simultaneously persist in the ovariole approximately as well as control clones over a 14 day period. Egg chamber fusions are seen in ovarioles carrying these clones.

Flies expressing mamN.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4bbg-C96 show a fully-penetrant wing-nicking phenotype.

mamN.Scer\UAS when driven by Scer\GAL4GMR.PF or Scer\GAL4hs.2sev produces a completely penetrant rough eye phenotype. mamN.Scer\UAS/Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 adults exhibit microchaetae loss between the dorsocentral macrochaetae; the phenotype varies from bald nota to those sparsely populated with bristles. The more anterior/lateral regions can contain higher than normal microchaetae densities. These flies also exhibit additional macrochaetae, twin shafts and some microchaetae sites, and twin to quadruple shafts at some (primarily scutellar) macrochaetae sites. When the pupal notum is examined in mamN.Scer\UAS/Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 animals, an increase in Sensory Organ Precursors (SOPs) are seen. Clusters of neurons are observes at each microchaetae site. When mamN.Scer\UAS is driven by Scer\GAL4C96 wing nicks are seen and there is a loss of wing margin bristles. The most significant margin loss occurs along distal and posterior wing regions. In some regions the margin remains largely intact, though most bristles are missing. When mamN.Scer\UAS is driven by Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1, a range of phenotypes are seen. Macrochaetae duplications thickened wing vein 3, a loss of material at the anterior/posterior boundary of the wing and small rough eyes can be seen.
