Expression of taraEP3463 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF does not result in a rough eye phenotype.
100% of homozygotes have held-out wings, 15% show truncation of wing vein L5 and 5% have ectopic ventral abdominal bristles.
Expression of taraEP3463 under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 results in the loss of external support cells of the scutellar macrochaetae without loss of the sheath cell. Sensory organs with no socket and one shaft, dot-like shaft morphology and large flat socket cells are seen.
