The lch5 organs are positioned correctly in the lateral clusters in all abdominal segments in embryos expressing vvlScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155.
General expression of Scer\GAL4unspecified does not induce ectopic tracheal pits.

Comments
Expression of vvlScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 does not rescue the abnormal localisation of the lch5 neurons seen in vvlH599 embryos. Expression of vvlScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4arm.PS in vvlH599 embryos results in an 80% decrease in the number of mislocalised lch5 neurons. Expression of vvlScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4arm.PS in vvlunspecified embryos results in a 46% reduction in the number of misplaced lch5 organs.
