hide Detailed Description
Statement
Reference
When Cdk7T170A.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 is driven by Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 malformations are induced in the wing. They range from alterations of the vein pattern to severe wing blade reduction. This phenotype is enhanced by the addition of Cdk7null3. When Cdk7T170A.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 is expressed in early embryos under the control of Scer\GAL4Kr.PM, at the end of the maternal division program, a corresponding zone with twice the normal density of interphase 14 nuclei are observed, resulting from the appearance of an extra synchronous division in the domain of expression of the Cdk7T170A.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 proteins.

Extra copies of twe+t3.7 or twe+t10 or combinations thereof, enhance the mitotic cycle phenotype seen in Cdk7T170A.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 flies, when driven by Scer\GAL4Kr.PM, in a dose dependant manner.

Comments
Expression of Cdk7T170A.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 by Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 or under basal expression under the control of the Hsp70 promoter fails to rescue the Cdk7null3 wing phenotypes.
