Conditional expression of sbbUAS.cYa under the combined control of Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO and RU486 feeding, rescues the turning behavior defects of third instar larvae if feeding-induced from hatching upto 41h post hatching onwards, but not if feeding-induced from 54h post hatching onwards.

60% of the expected number of sbb03432 animals rescued by expression of sbbScer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 emerge as fertile adults. The sbb03432 wing vein phenotype is not restored to normal in these flies. Expression of sbbScer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 rescues the "scribbler" locomotor behaviour of sbb03432 larvae.
