Expression of Tak1K46R.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4wor.PA does not induce neuroblast loss in larval brains.

Tak1K46R.Scer\UAS driven by Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 causes various cuticle defects in embryos. Head structure defects are seen in which mouth hooks are missing. Some of these defective embryos also exhibit an anterior open phenotype. In the most extreme cases the entire dorsal cuticle fail to close. Occasionally U shaped embryos are seen. Flies expressing Tak1K46R.Scer\UAS driven by Scer\GAL4GMR.PF display a rough eye phenotype in a dose dependant manner. In the pupal eye disc, bristles are mislocalised. The cell shapes of secondary and tertiary pigment cells are heterogeneous.

The strong tumorigenic activity of Scer\GAL4Scer\FRT.Act5C>Ras85DV12.Scer\UAS;fmt1/fmt1 MARCM clones in third instar larval eye-antennal discs is strongly impeded and their invasive capacity abolished by co-expression of Tak1K46R.Scer\UAS in the clones.

Similarly, the tumorigenicity of Ras85DV12.Scer\UAS-expressing clones is also enhanced if the clones are mutant for PpVΔ1, they display invasive behavior and increased mitotic activity; these characteristics are suppressed by co-expression of Tak1K46R.Scer\UAS.

The partial or complete loss of the wing anterior crossvein in flies expressing fmtGD6928 under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc.PU is partially suppressed by co-expression of Tak1K46R.Scer\UAS.

Co-expression of dominant-negative Tak1K46R.Scer\UAS does not suppress the small, rough eye phenotype found upon expression of nopoScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.

The addition of hep1/+ to egrGS9830, Scer\GAL4GMR.PF animals leads to a suppression of the eye phenotype. The addition of hep1/Y leads to an almost complete suppression of the eye phenotype.

Tak1K46R.Scer\UAS rescues the posterior cross vein, wing shape and size defects seen in Scer\GAL469B, nmoc5-1.Scer\UAS adults, but enhances the L2 extra vein phenotype.
