Co-expression of both Cdk5Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG and Cdk5αScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF results in a mild rough eye phenotype.
When Cdk5αScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC and Cdk5Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG are driven by Scer\GAL4elav-C155, axon patterning defects are seen. SNa axons are seen lacking the dorsal branch, with ectopic muscle contacts. Overextended and misrouted TN neurons and stalled ISN neurons are also seen. When Cdk5αScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC and Cdk5Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG are driven by Scer\GAL4GMR.PF, a severely disrupted eye morphology results. In embryos, the proportion seen with nervous system defects increases.
hide Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference
Co-expression of Cdk5Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG alone does not modify the rough eye phenotype caused by expression of Hsap\MAPTV337M.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF. Co-expression of both Cdk5Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG and Cdk5αScer\UAS.cMa together strongly enhances the rough eye phenotype caused by expression of Hsap\MAPTV337M.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.
