Description
What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release. It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

Statement
Reference
The body mass of banEP3208/Df(3L)banΔ1 adults is only 89% of that of control flies. Expression of banEP3208 under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E results in a significant increase in the ratio of posterior:anterior area of the wing compared to control wings. There is no increase in overall wing size.
Mutant larvae expressing banEP3208 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 have reduced or abnormal synapses. Mutant larvae expressing banEP3208 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 have ISN neuron pathfinding defects.
Expression of banEP3208 under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 results in additional scutellar macrochaetae. Sensory organs with no socket and one shaft are seen.

Reduction of ban activity through ban[EP3208]/Df(3L)ban[Δ1] enhances Hsap\MJD[tr.Q78.GMR.T:Ivir\HA1]-induced degeneration, such that flies are now born with more neuronal loss.
