Adulthood-only expression of rhoUAS.cUa under the combined control of Scer\GAL4esg.PU and Gal80[ts], induced by temperature shift to 29[o]C for 6 days during adulthood, leads to a significant increase in the number of mitotic cells (phospho-H3 staining) in the adult midgut, as compared to controls

The expression of rhoScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4prd.PU leads to extra and ectopic oenocytes in Prd-positive abdominal and thoracic segments, respectively, during stage 15 of embryogenesis, as compared to controls.

Expression of rhoScer\UAS.cUa in the wing disc under the control of Scer\GAL4e22c results in loss of partial posterior cross vein and anterior cross vein and weakened distal portion of L4 and L3-4 M veins.

Stage 15 embryos that express rhoScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4prd.PU in a hthMeis1-P2 homozygous background neither exhibit the ectopic/increased oenocytes in Prd-positive segments observed upon the expression of rhoScer\UAS.cUa alone nor exhibit the absence of oenocytes observed in hthMeis1-P2 homozygotes, but display a decrease in the number of oenocytes as compared to wild-type controls).

The co-expression of rhoScer\UAS.cUa and abd-AScer\UAS.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4prd.PU enhances the increased and/or ectopic oenocytes in Prd-positive segments during stage 15 of embryogenesis displayed in either single expression condition.

Expression of rhoScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4vn.GAL4 partially suppresses the lethality seen in vnL6/vnGAL4 mutant flies. Approximately 50% of flies reach adulthood and have grossly normal wings, although the region between veins L3 and L4 is fused and some extra vein material is observed.
