amnc651 homozygotes are more sensitive (lower survival) to ethanol than wild-type controls but develop tolerance from previous exposures.

In amnc651 homozygotes or amnX8/amnc651 transheterozygotes the amplitude of the synchronous oscillation of intracellular calcium concentration seen in wild type Kenyon cells is significantly increased.
