anterior fascicle & synapse, with Scer\GAL4elav-C155
Mutant larvae expressing TorEP2353 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 have reduced or abnormal synapses. Mutant larvae expressing TorEP2353 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 have ISN neuron pathfinding defects.
Homozygotes hatch at normal rates, but grow more slowly than normal and eventually arrest during larval development, reaching only 79% the mass of wild-type controls. The mutants remain viable and active during an extended larval period of about 30 days and eventually die without pupating.

PtenMGH1/TorEP2353 somatic clones show a slight decrease in size compared to wild-type. TorEP2353/Tork17004, S6kScer\UAS.cWa flies are slightly smaller than wild-type, but are fertile and develop at a similar rate to wild-type flies.
Hsap\RPS6KB1D4.Scer\UAS (driven by Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP) rescues TorEP2353/TorEP2353 or TorEP2353/Tork17004 animals to viability.
