Genetic Interactions

Statement Reference rlSem.sev heterozygous mutants in combination with alphS-355 exhibit a rough eye phenotype. They exhibit an average of 3.39 R7 cells per ommatidium, compared to 1 R7 cell per ommatidium in wild-type.
ksr::torΔNksr.hs.sev/alphS-355 mutants exhibit a 20% loss of ommatidial R7 cells, indicating that alphS-355 has suppressed the ksr::torΔNksr.hs.sev phenotype. This effect is not specific to the R7 cells as the loss of outer photoreceptors is suppressed in this double mutant.
The rough eye phenotype of Ras85DV12.sev mutants is increased when transheterozygous with alphS-355.
phylhs.sev heterozygous mutants in combination with alphS-355 exhibit a rough eye phenotype. They exhibit an average of 1.70 R7 cells per ommatidium, compared to 1 R7 cell per ommatidium in wild-type. This however is no higher than in phylhs.sev heterozygous mutants. | |||
