Expression of S6kScer\UAS.cWa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF results in eyes that are slightly larger than wild type.

Expression of S6kScer\UAS.cWa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 results in wings which are bent down due to overgrowth of the dorsal part.

Expression of S6kScer\UAS.cWa, under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF, promotes modest overgrowth of the eye.

Expression of S6kScer\UAS.cWa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH has no effect on eye size.

When S6kScer\UAS.cWa is driven by Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP in wild-type flies a significant resistance to rapamycin is conferred.

Expression of RpL8dsRNA.Scer\UAS partially suppresses the increase in eye size seen when S6kScer\UAS.cWa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.

The wing phenotype caused by expression of S6kScer\UAS.cWa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 is not altered in a rictorΔ24 or rictorΔ42 background.

Flies co-expressing both S6kScer\UAS.cWa and raptordsRNA.Sym.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 have normal wings.

Co-expression of S6kScer\UAS.cWa strongly enhances the Scer\GAL4GMR.PF>foxoGS9928 ommatidial phenotype.

The small ommatidium size caused by coexpression of gigScer\UAS.cTa and Tsc1Scer\UAS.cPa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is suppressed by coexpression of S6kScer\UAS.cWa.

Expression of both Tsc1Scer\UAS.cTa and gigScer\UAS.cTa in the eye under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH results in a much smaller eye than normal. Coexpression of S6kScer\UAS.cWa suppresses the phenotype.

The addition of S6kScer\UAS.cWa (driven by Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP) to TorEP2353/TorEP2353 or TorEP2353/Tork17004 animals, rescues the Tor phenotype to viability.

Expression of Hsap\RPL8DN.Scer\UAS partially suppresses the increase in eye size seen when S6kScer\UAS.cWa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.

Complementation and Rescue Data
Comments

Expression of S6kScer\UAS.cWa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP rescues the lethality associated with S6kl-1.
