Expression of Hsap\SMAD3 is governed by UASt regulatory sequences.
wing, with Scer\GAL4A9
Lethal in combination with any Scer\GAL4A9 driver that causes significant expression in the embryo. The lethal phenotype includes small size, necrotic patches and the absence of limbs in those that survive until pharate adults. When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1, acridine orange reveals increased cell death in the anterior and posterior compartments, extending beyond the Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 domain. This effect is also seen, to a greater extent, with Scer\GAL4en-e16E. When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4A9, wings are reduced in size by approximately 32%. Venation of these wings is essentially wild type.
