      Homozygous E(spl)m7-HLHEP3587 mutant larvae show defects in irradiation-induced mitotic arrest. Wing discs contain on average 27 mitotic cells compared to 10 in wild type, although the phenotype is not completely penetrant. The amount of apoptosis seen is similar to wild type.
