Detailed Description

The number of synaptic boutons at neuromuscular junctions in larvae expressing Scer\GAL4nSyb.PS>Tak1K46R.M.Scer\UAS is similar to that of wild-type.

Expression of Tak1K46R.M.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 modestly increases susceptibility of Tak12/+ females to E.coli.

Expression of Tak1K46R.Scer\UAS when driven by Scer\GAL4en-e16E, Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237, or Scer\GAL4arm.PS, does not significantly affect development in the embryo. Expression of Tak1K46R.Scer\UAS when driven by Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 or Scer\GAL4ap-md544, produces adults that display incomplete closure of the thorax, giving rise to a mild thoracic cleft at the dorsal midline of the notum, and also a lack of bristles in the area. This phenotype has a high penetrance (about 91%).

Expression of Tak1K46R.M.Scer\UAS suppresses the reduction in eye size seen when egrGS9830 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.

Co-expression of Tak1K46R.M.Scer\UAS suppresses the Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1>MoedsRNA.327-775.Scer\UAS; pucE69/+ wing blade phenotype.

Simultaneous expression of Tak1K46R.M.Scer\UAS driven by Scer\GAL4S106-GS significantly suppresses the increased pathogen resistance phenotype of PGRP-LEScer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG-expressing flies.

Expression of Tak1K46R.M.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4arm.PS significantly increases the percentage of embryonic lethality and severity of cuticle defects of embryos derived from slprBS06/+ females.

The eye ablation phenotype seen in adults expressing egrGS9830 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is almost completely suppressed by coexpression of Tak1K46R.M.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.
