Neuronal expression of rlSem.C.Scer\UAS (under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155) reduces ethanol sensitivity.

Neuronal expression of rlSem.C.Scer\UAS (under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155) throughout development, until the adult stage (where Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B is induced) does not reduce ethanol sensitivity. Neuronal expression only after eclosion of the adult fly also fails to reduce ethanol sensitivity.

Expression of rlSem.C.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 results in flies with increased resistance to ethanol-induced sedation compared to control flies.

Expression of rlSem.C.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF results in a rough eye phenotype.

Expression of rlSem.C.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU produces a rough eye phenotype.

Expression of rlSem.C.Scer\UAS has no effect on lifespan when expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 or Scer\GAL4repo.PU. A reduction in lifespan is seen when rlSem.C.Scer\UAS is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4Eaat1.PR, but not until 24 days post-eclosion.

20.9% of flies expressing rlSem.C.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 have blistered wings.
