    Detailed Description
    Statement
    Reference

raspT802 mutant eye disc clones fail to differentiate photoreceptors R1-R7, although R8 appears normal.

The eggshells of eggs formed from raspT802 homozygous germline clones are partially ventralized, as shown by the fusion of the two dorsal appendages in all resulting eggshells.

raspT392/raspT802 eye discs are smaller than wild-type. Homozygous clones in the eye disc show a reduction in photoreceptors that is pronounced near the centre of the clones.

    Reference

A ru1 rho7M43 double mutant background fails to suppress the R1-R7 photoreceptor differentiation defects seen in raspT802 mutant eye disc clones.

Most ectopic photoreceptor differentiation caused by ptcS2 homozygous clones in the eye disc is suppressed in a raspT392/raspT802 background, with most of the remaining photoreceptors having R8 identity.

The ectopic photoreceptor differentiation induced by somatic clones of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP cells in the eye disc in animals carrying rhoScer\UAS.cGa and spis.Scer\UAS or spiScer\UAS.s.T:Avic\GFP is completely suppressed by raspT392/raspT802. However, the ectopic photoreceptor differentiation caused by somatic clones of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP cells in the eye disc in animals carrying btl::EgfrScer\UAS.T:λ\cI-DD is not suppressed by raspT392/raspT802.
