point mutation
comment=Site of nucleotide substitution in mutant inferred by FlyBase based on reported amino acid change. The mutation was reported at Gln 1281 but there is no glutamine at that position. The mutation was inferred to be at Gln 1282 in the reported sequence which translates to Gln 1283 in the reference sequence.

Homozygous mutant adults exhibit about 2.50 dorsocentral bristle per heminotum (compared to 2.00 in wild-type). osa4H/osa14060 mutant adults exhibit about 4.17 dorsocentral bristle per heminotum (compared to 2.00 in wild-type). Excess dorsocentral bristle precursors are seen in imaginal discs.
