The class IV dendritic arborization neurons in flies expressing Pka-C1K75A.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PG show a significant decrease in the complexity of dendritic arbors in respect to the total dendritic length. The total number of dendritic branching points is also decreased. There are significantly fewer golgi outposts in the distal arbor compartments compared to wild type. The distribution of early endosomes is altered compared to wild type and the number of endosomes in the distal compartments is significantly lower.

Expression of Pka-C1K75A.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4JW1 results in pupal lethality in most lines tested. In the P{UAS-Pka-C1.K75A}10.4 line, many adults cannot free themselves from the pupal case. Of those that do, a few have wings with large anterior duplications, others have large wing masses enclosed in the thorax and the remainder have duplications of the notum in place of the wings. Expression of Pka-C1K75A.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4KO5 generally results in normal adults, although some have small wing outgrowths from the medial costal region of the anterior wing. Expression of Pka-C1K75A.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4PP3 generally results in death at the pupal or pharate adult stage, except in the P{UAS-Pka-C1.K75A}10.4 line where adults are produced with spread wings and small outgrowths in the proximal costal region of the anterior wing. Expression of Pka-C1K75A.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4RZ4 has variable effects on viability. Surviving adults have large anterior expansions of the wing, with a mass of vein material replacing wing blade in most of the duplicated region. Expression of Pka-C1K75A.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL430A results in a small mirror-image duplication in some wings.
