rtKG04772/rtEP571 adults have significantly decreased climbing ability compared to control flies at all ages tested. The mutant flies also have reduced flight ability compared to controls.

Deficient or thin muscles are sometimes seen in the abdominal segments of rtKG04772/rtEP571 larvae.

rtEP571 and rtP/rtEP571 flies have rotated abdomens.
