Flies expressing Sp7KG02818 under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified do not exhibit any significant difference in survival rate of flies either untreated or treated with Leishmania amastigotes, as compared to wild type.

Sp7KG02818/Sp7KG02818 adult flies show significant decreases in survival to bacterial infection with either Providencia rettgeri (severe) or Enterococcus faecalis (moderate), as compared to controls.

Mutant flies show the same survival as wild-type controls after natural infection with B. bassiana or after challenge with a needle contaminated with either A. tumefaciens, E. faecalis, E. coli or S. aureus.
