Expression of upd1UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PU leads to an increase in the size of eye.

Expression of upd1Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001 (using tub-gal80[ts] to limit the time of expression) increases cell proliferation in the adult gut.

Expression of upd1Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4neur-P72 results in abnormally long stalks between egg chambers.

Adults that express upd1Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH show overgrowth of the eye field and replacement of the lateral head cuticle by photoreceptors, causing a reduction in the distance between the eyes. Eye discs of this genotype show precocious furrow formation from the lateral margins.

Expression of upd1Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.PG results in ectopic cells with germline stem cell and gonialblast features in the testis and ballooning of the whole testis.

The extra number of ommatidia caused by expression of upd1Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is partially suppressed by hop2/+; the flies have an average of 854 +/- 9 ommatidia. The extra number of ommatidia caused by expression of upd1Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is partially suppressed by domeG0441/+; the flies have an average of 813 +/- 10 ommatidia.
