Scer\GAL4puc-GAL4E69 drives expression some sensory organ cells of the embryonic head, and in the embryonic peripheral nervous system. In the eye disc, Scer\GAL4puc-GAL4E69 drives expression posterior to the morphogenetic furrow; unlike endogenous puc, it also drives expression anterior to the morphogenetic furrow. In ommatidial clusters, Scer\GAL4puc-GAL4E69 drives expression in 1-2 cells per cluster. In the wing disc, Scer\GAL4puc-GAL4E69 drives expression in the wing pouch, in the presumptive scutellum, and in the peripodial membrane; similar expression patterns are observed in the leg and haltere discs.
Scer\GAL4puc-GAL4E69 does not drive expression in embryonic leading edge cells, where endogenous puc is expressed.
