Description
What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release. It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

Expression of cvEP1349 under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH results in eyes that are slightly reduced in size. Flies expressing cvEP1349 under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev have wild-type eyes. Flies expressing cvEP1349 under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E have wild-type wings.

Co-expression of sogScer\UAS.cYa and cvEP1349 in the posterior compartment of the wing, driven by Scer\GAL4en-e16E, results in truncation of longitudinal veins in this compartment and the appearance of ectopic veins in the anterior compartment.

The crossveinless gene encodes a new member of the Twisted gastrulation family of BMP-binding proteins which, with Short gastrulation, promotes BMP signaling in the crossveins of the Drosophila wing. [FBrf0187398]
Vilmos et al., 2005, EMBO Rep. 6(3): 262--267
crossveinless defines a new family of Twisted-gastrulation-like modulators of bone morphogenetic protein signalling. [FBrf0183951]
