Description
What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release. It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

The asf11 mutation deletes two nucleotides as base pair 380 relative to the 'start' codon, causing a frameshift after amino acid 126 and early termination.

hide Detailed Description
Statement
Reference
Germ-line clones of asf11 cause a complete block in oogenesis. asf11/Df(3L)kto2 is embryonic or larval lethal. asf11/+ suppresses PEV of eye colour in In(1)wm4h hemizygous flies. asf11/+ suppresses PEV of eye colour in w118/Y, In(2)Heidi/+ flies.

Statement
Reference
Heterozygosity for asf1[1] has no effect on the ability of Caf1-180[Scer\UAS.P\T.cKa] expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4[Act5C.PI] to rescue the lethality of Caf1-180[3]/Y males.
The small-eye phenotype of flies expressing Caf1-180[Scer\UAS.cSa] under the control of Scer\GAL4[ey.PH] is suppressed by heterozygous asf1[1].
