The expression of egrUAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU induces a small eye.

Ectopic expression of egrScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PFa results in a severe adult eye malformation - very small dot-like eye surrounded by scar-like tissue, expression under the control of the Scer\GAL4GMR.long driver also reduces the eye size but to a lesser extent. However, patterning of the ommatidial precursor clusters in the third instar larval eye disc is not disrupted.

Scer\GAL4GMR.PU-mediated expression results in a small-eye phenotype.

Wing disc clones expressing egrScer\UAS.cMa do not survive.
