hide Detailed Description
Statement
Reference
Expression of aPKC[ΔN.Scer\UAS] in adult Malpighian tubule clones (using the MARCM system, under the control of Scer\GAL80[αTub84B.PL] and Scer\GAL4[Scer\FRT.Act5C]) blocks renal and nephric stem cell (RNSC) proliferation and differentiation.
Expression of aPKCΔN.Scer\UAS in the neuroblasts, driven by Scer\GAL41407, results in a mild overgrowth of neuroblasts in the posterior brain cortex.
Expression of aPKCΔN.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4wor.PA results in a slight increase in the number of neuroblasts in the larval brain.
The ommatidia of aPKCΔN.Scer\UAS; Scer\GAL4sev.EP adults are frequently misrotated, symmetrical or lacking some photoreceptors.
Clones that express aPKCΔN.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4neur-GAL4-A101 show an increased frequency of adult external sense organs with supernumerary socket cells.
