Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

When modScer\UAS.cPa is driven by Scer\GAL4en-e16E no significant increase in the size of the posterior compartment of the wing disc is seen. There is a increase seen in the number of apoptotic cells in the posterior compartment. The cell cycle profiles of mutant cells is unaltered but both G1 and G2 cells are slightly bigger than normal. When clones expressing modScer\UAS.cPa (driven by Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP) are made no modification in growth rate or change in cell cycle profile is seen in clones, however a significantly slower proliferation is seen and correspondingly the cells are slightly larger than wild-type, although the effect is more pronounced in G2 than in G1 cells.

Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

When stgScer\UAS.cNa and modScer\UAS.cPa are both driven in clones, an enhancement is seen in the accelerated cell division phenotype seen in stgScer\UAS.cNa, Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP animals.

Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Although the addition of BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa to modScer\UAS.cPa, Scer\GAL4en-e16E animals suppresses the increased cell death phenotype, the posterior/anterior ratio is unchanged.
