Co-expression of BuffyUAS.cQa enhances the reduced adult lifespan along with the impaired climbing ability of flies parkdsRNA.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Ddc.PL, whereas it ameliorates the same phenotype in Pink1dsRNA.UAS-expressing flies. The disrupted ommatidial lattice and loss of ommatidia of adult flies expressing parkdsRNA.UAS driven by Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is ameliorated by BuffyUAS.cQa, while flies expressing either Pink1dsRNA.UAS or BuffyUAS.cQa or both simultaneously under Scer\GAL4GMR.PF do not show any eye morphology defects.
The reduced lifespan and impaired climbing ability characteristic for adult flies expressing either LfgKK104535 or LfgHMS00225 under the Scer\GAL4Ddc.PL driver as well as the loss of ommatidia observed upon Scer\GAL4GMR.PF-driven RNAi expression are suppressed by co-expression of BuffyScer\UAS.cQa.
