Detailed Description

savSH13 mutant intestinal stem cell clones exhibit overgrowth.

Homozygous clones in the eye disc result in overgrowth and adults have enlarged and folded eyes.

savSH13 mutant eye clones exhibit overgrowth.

Adult eyes carrying homozygous mutant clones are overgrown.

Expression of mir-bansponge.UAS.DsRed(Unk) suppresses the increase in intestinal stem cell division in savSH13 mutant clones.

Expression of TgiScer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4tub.PU in savSH13 clones in the eye disc results in adults with nearly normal eyes.

Expression of par-1HMS00405 under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified does not suppress the eye overgrowth seen in savSH13 mutant eye clones.

The eye overgrowth phenotype caused by savSH13 clones is almost completely suppressed by co-expression of sddsRNA.N.Scer\UAS and sddsRNA.C.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4tub.
