Expressing rlSem.S.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4C587 does not induce any obvious L3 spermatogenesis defects.

Expression of rlSem.S.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Tub.PU in MARCM clones leads to a significant increase in midgut cell number when compared to control adults.

Expression of rlSem.S.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4salm.EPv leads to formation of extra vein material in adult wings.

Expression of rlSem.S.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 results in the formation of additional vein material, and a smaller overall sized wing is observed.

Expression of rlSem.S.Scer\UAS in the eye under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 results in mild irregularities in ommatidial pattern.

Flies expressing rlSem.S.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 have a survival rate of 42%.

Flies carrying rlSem.S.Scer\UAS have some additional wing veins, even in the absence of an Scer\GAL4 driver.

The formation of ectopic wein material in the adult wing characteristic for flies expressing rlSem.S.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4salm.EPv is partially suppressed by co-expression of either Usp47GD10642 or Usp47NIG.5486R. The ameliorated phenotype of Scer\GAL4salm.EPv,rlSem.S.Scer\UAS;Usp47GD10642 flies can be worsened again by co-expression of either poeGD8339 or poeKK101471 : the severity of their ectopic venation phenotype is comparable to that of flies expressing rlSem.S.Scer\UAS only.

Expression of rlSem.S.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 in a krzS047819/+ mutant background results in the development of even more additional veins in the wing and a further reduction in wing size.

Expression of rlSem.S.Scer\UAS and krzScer\UAS.T:Zzzz\GS-TAP under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 in a krzS047819/+ mutant background restores the wing vein phenotype to that seen in animals expressing just rlSem.S.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 in a wild-type background. Wing size is larger in these flies compared to animals expressing rlSem.S.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 in a wild-type background.

The mild irregularities in ommatidial pattern observed in animals expressing rlSem.S.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 is strongly enhanced in a krzS047819/+ mutant background, and smaller rougher eyes are observed.

Expression of krzScer\UAS.T:Zzzz\GS-TAP restores the regular ommatidial pattern and size of the eye in animals expressing rlSem.S.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 in a krzS047819/+ mutant background.

The survival rate of animals expressing rlSem.S.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 drops to 8% in a krzS047819/+ mutant background.

The survival rate of animals expressing rlSem.S.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 in a krzS047819/+ mutant background increases to 38% when krzScer\UAS.T:Zzzz\GS-TAP is co-expressed.

Co-expression of rlSem.S.Scer\UAS enhances the mutant wing phenotype caused by expression of MadScer\UAS.cNa under the control of Scer\GAL4vg.int2.1.
