Description
What does this section display?
This section contains items that were added to this record for each release. It currently only tracks new links between this FlyBase report and other FlyBase data classes (e.g. genes, references, stocks) or controlled vocabulary terms (e.g. GO, anatomy terms).
What does this section not display?
This section does not currently display links that were removed or gene model changes.

hide Detailed Description
Statement
Reference
When slikScer\UAS.cHa is driven by Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1, overgrowth is seen in the region between wing veins 3 and 4, increasing the distance between these veins. When animals are grown at 18oC, the area of this region increases by 13%, when grown at 25oC the increase is only 5%. There is a considerable increase in BrdU incorporation compared to wild-type in the centre of the wing disc and in the peripodial cell layer overlying the wing disc in larvae expressing slikScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1.

When phl7 is added to slikScer\UAS.cHa, Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 animals the overgrowth phenotype is completely suppressed. When phl12 is added to slikScer\UAS.cHa, Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 animals the overgrowth phenotype is partially suppressed. When Dsor1LH110 is added to slikScer\UAS.cHa, Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 animals the overgrowth phenotype is partially suppressed.
hide Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference
Genetic interaction (class, effect): increased cell number, enhanceable { BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa, Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 } When slikScer\UAS.cHa and BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa are co-expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 an enhancement of the slikScer\UAS.cHa, Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 overgrowth phenotype is seen. An increase in the number of cells with normal nuclear appearances are found in abnormal outgrowths below the epithelial layer of the wing disc. Adult escapers show overgrowth in the 1st posterior cell of the wing.
When slik[Scer\UAS.cHa] and BacA\p35[Scer\UAS.cHa] are co-expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4[ptc-559.1] an enhancement of the slik[Scer\UAS.cHa], Scer\GAL4[ptc-559.1] overgrowth phenotype is seen. An increase in the number of cells with normal nuclear appearances are found in abnormal outgrowths below the epithelial layer of the wing disc. Adult escapers show overgrowth in the 1st posterior cell of the wing.

Comments
slik1 animals rescued with slikScer\UAS.cHa driven by Scer\GAL4arm.PS develop to adulthood of reduced body size, with mildly rough eyes, but of otherwise normal appearance.
