The expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU in clones within mosaic midguts results in enterocytes during pupariation exhibiting a significant decrease in the relative mitochondrial content, but no significant changes in the transverse cell area or in the relative amount of autophagosomes, as assessed by a Atg8a fluorescent reporter, as compared to non-clone enterocytes.

Flies expressing Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF at 29[o]C show a numbers of eye defects including bristle loss, holes and a rough surface.

Expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4Ddc.PL does not affect the number of dopaminergic neurons in the dorsomedial clusters in the brain. Expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 has no effect on adult thoracic morphology.

The clonal expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU suppresses the increased relative mitochondrial content exhibited during pupariation by enterocytes in Pink1B9 homozygous midgut clones.
