Expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa results in a complex interaction with the Hsap\LRRK2Scer\UAS.cVa and Hsap\LRRK2I2020T.Scer\UAS Parkinson's Disease models; some aspects of the eye phenotype (black lesions) are suppressed, whereas others (such as eye pigmentation) are not.

The expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU in clones within mosaic midguts results in enterocytes during pupariation exhibiting a significant decrease in the relative mitochondrial content, but no significant changes in the transverse cell area or in the relative amount of autophagosomes, as assessed by a Atg8a fluorescent reporter, as compared to non-clone enterocytes.

Flies expressing Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF at 29[o]C show a numbers of eye defects including bristle loss, holes and a rough surface.

Expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4Ddc.PL does not affect the number of dopaminergic neurons in the dorsomedial clusters in the brain. Expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 has no effect on adult thoracic morphology.

The clonal expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU suppresses the increased relative mitochondrial content exhibited during pupariation by enterocytes in Pink1B9 homozygous midgut clones.

The clonal co-expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa suppresses both the increased relative mitochondrial content and the decreased relative amount of autophagosomes observed during pupariation in enterocytes within midgut clones expressing Pink1JF01672 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU, even leading to a significant decrease in relative mitochondrial content and a significant increase in relative amount of autophagosomes, as compared to non-clone enterocytes.

The clonal co-expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa enhances the increased relative amount of autophagosomes exhibited during pupariation by enterocytes in midgut clones expressing Hsap\PINK1Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act.PU.

Expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa completely blocks the ability of rictorΔ2 to enhance the abnormal wing posture and mitochondrial aggregation phenotypes seen in flies expressing Pink1dsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Mhc.PW.

Expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa completely blocks the ability of trcK122A+T453A.Scer\UAS to enhance the abnormal wing posture and mitochondrial aggregation phenotypes seen in flies expressing Pink1dsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Mhc.PW

The loss of dopaminergic neurons of the adult brain and defects in flight ability caused by expression of Nrdp1Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4Ddc.PL are partially suppressed by co-expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa.

The formation of black lesions in the eye seen in flies expressing Hsap\LRRK2I2020T.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is suppressed by co-expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa.

Expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR fully rescues the thoracic indentation and flight phenotypes of park25/park25 mutants.

Co-expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa dramatically improves the average climbing activity of 50 day old flies expressing Hsap\GPR37Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu.

Co-expression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa significantly rescues the reduction in the number of dopaminergic neurons in the dorsomedial clusters of the brain seen in 50 day old flies expressing Hsap\GPR37Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu.

Coexpression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa suppresses the thoracic degeneration phenotype (leaking body fluid on the dorsal thorax) seen in newly eclosed flies expressing Hsap\GPR37Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544. Coexpression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa suppresses the reduction in the number of DA neurons in the DM clusters that is seen in 40 day old flies expressing Hsap\GPR37Scer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4Ddc.PL. The reduction in the number of dopaminergic neurons in the dorsomedial clusters of the brain seen in 20 day old flies expressing Hsap\SNCAA53T.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Ddc.PL is suppressed by coexpression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa. The reduction in the number of dopaminergic neurons in the dorsomedial clusters of the brain seen in 20 day old flies expressing Hsap\SNCAA30P.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4Ddc.PL is suppressed by coexpression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa. The reduction in the number of dopaminergic neurons in the dorsomedial clusters of the brain seen in 20 day old flies expressing Hsap\SNCAScer\UAS.cFa under the control of Scer\GAL4Ddc.PL is suppressed by coexpression of Hsap\PARK2Scer\UAS.cYa.
