      Ectopic expression of Hsap\FOXO3Scer\UAS.cFa in the developing wing, under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 induces apoptosis and the subsequent loss of the wing anterior cross vein.

      When flies subjected to protein deprivation a reduced eye phenotype results. Complete starvation reduced the eye size further.
