Expression of dl[UY2278] under the control of Scer\GAL4[sca-537.4] at 25[o]C results in loss of bristles over much of the notum, although the loss is greater in the lateral notum. Expression of dl[UY2278] under the control of Scer\GAL4[sca-537.4] at 18[o]C results in the generation of ectopic bristles on the medial notum in the dorsocentral and scutellar regions.
When expression is driven by Scer\GAL47B or Scer\GAL4OK107, dlUY2278 shows a mushroom body Class II phenotype; neuron number defects plus axonal growth and guidance defects. Axons seem defasciculated.
