Hyperpolarisation (using Hsap\KCNJ2UAS.cUa.EGFP) of Scer\GAL4Mef2.247.Switch neurons (induced by RU486 application for three days prior to the experiment) significantly impairs visual short term memory following training with pain stimulus in adult flies, compared to controls.
