      Anterior and posterior crossveins are closer together in the wings of fj102-583.Scer\UAS.T:Rnor\CD2; Scer\GAL4bi-omb-Gal4 flies than in wild-type. These flies have eyes with several rows of inverted ommatidia at their dorsal and ventral edges. fj102-583.Scer\UAS.T:Rnor\CD2; Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI somatic clones in the eye cause non-autonomous inversions of some ommatidia adjacent to the equatorial side of the clone.
