wntDKO1 mutant embryos (lacking maternal and zygotic wntD function) have an increased average number of mislocalised primordial germ cells compared to wild type at stages 14-16. There is also an increase in the proportion of embryos with more than 2 mislocalised cells in the mutants.

When mutant animals are infected with L.monocytogenes, mutant animals exhibit increased mortality.
