Expression of pbldsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU results in a disruption in development of the posterior compartment of the wing.

Expression of pbldsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E leads to a reduced wing size and the appearance of cells with multiple wing hairs within the posterior of the wing.

Expression of pbldsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E results in a reduction of the fraction of cells in G2 phase and an increase in hyperploid cells in 3rd instar wing discs.

The posterior compartment of the wings of pbldsRNA.Scer\UAS; Scer\GAL4en-e16E flies is reduced in size and more than 67% of its cells have multiple wing hairs. During pupal stages the posterior compartment of the developing wing in these animals contains abnormally large and multinucleate cells.
