Description

UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of a mutated form of brk, in which amino acid residues 173-189 have been changed to two amino acid residues (RS) and a stop codon has been introduced at residue 377. The protein is tagged at the C-terminal end with two copies of Tag:HA.

      Some adults expressing brkStop1ΔA17.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E are recovered at 25-30oC, but they show substantial loss of posterior wing tissue and veins. Expression of brkStop1ΔA17.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4C-765 results in almost complete loss of the wing blade at 25oC.
