Detailed Description
	Statement Reference Expression of Kul^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS.pro} under the control of Scer\GAL4^neur-P72 in polar follicle cells (the flies also carry Scer\GAL80^ts.αTub84B, but the Scer\GAL80 protein has been inactivated by shifting adult flies to 29^oC for 2-3 days) results in an increase in the average number of cells in the stalk between egg chambers. Expression of Kul^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS.pro} under the control of Scer\GAL4^how-24B results in an increase in the average number of cells in the stalk between egg chambers. (Assa-Kunik et al., 2007) When driven by Scer\GAL4^Bx-MS1096 mutant animals exhibit distorted wings. When driven by Scer\GAL4^sd-SG29.1 mutant animals exhibit distorted wings, and loss of the wing margin. When driven by Scer\GAL4^salm-459.2 mutant animals exhibit two distinct wing phenotypes. Multiple wing hairs and a partial loss of veins are seen in the expressed domain. (Sapir et al., 2005)
